I was just skimming through the features of Safari on the Apple web site when I noticed that Apple use Internet Explorer 5 and Firefox 1 to compare the speed of the important features like load speed and application launch time.

Surely that’s not fair to do? Only 1.5% of the world used IE5 now, according to W3Schools. IE6, 38.1%, would be a much better indicator. OR IE7, which Apple should see as its main rival now.

And how did they get a hold of IE5 for testing purposes? Microsoft don’t promote or allowing you to download IE5 anymore.  Must be Apples own copy.
